Bilateral retinal detachment and cataract in right eye

Diagnosis: Right eye: subatrophic eye with leucomatous, painful and displaced microcornea with flat surface.

Slight enophthalmos, eyelid laxity and reduced conjunctival sac.

Left eye: subatrophic eye with leucomatous, painful and displaced microcornea with flat surface.

Slight enophthalmos, eyelid laxity and reduced conjunctival sac.

 

 

Surgery:

Right Eye: Cataract surgery from 1992 to 1996 (4 surgeries). Pars-plana vitrectomy with silicone oil injection in 1994.

Left eye: pars-plana vitrectomy with silicone oil injection in 1994.

Prosthesis: PMMA clear scleral shell fitting with shifted corneal curvature in both eyes. Fluorescein assessment.

Successive cosmetic hand-painted scleral shell fitting.

Results after 1 year from the first session.
