Medpor ist hoch por\u00f6s, es wird am Weichgewebe verankert und ist m\u00e4\u00dfig osteokonduktiv. Die Infektionsh\u00e4ufigkeit ist niedrig und das Material ruft eine minimale Fremdk\u00f6rperreaktion mit Bildung einer d\u00fcnnen periprothetischen Kapsel hervor. Es ist stabil, erf\u00e4hrt keine Aufnahme und die Extrusion des Implantats ist \u00e4u\u00dferst selten.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Es handelt sich um eines der in der Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie am h\u00e4ufigsten verwendeten alloplastischen Materialien: als Camouflage-Material bei postonkologischen oder posttraumatischen Weichteildefekten, bei der Rekonstruktion von Boden und seitlicher Wand der Orbita, der Knochenstrukturen von Gesicht, Kinn und Nase, bei der Rekonstruktion des Ohrs nach schweren Verbrennungen.\u00a0Beim Einsatz als Orbitaimplantat ist es dem Hydroxylapatit vorzuziehen, denn aufgrund der geringeren auf das Gewebe ausge\u00fcbten Reibung wird das Extrusionsrisiko reduziert und ferner weist es dank der Modellierbarkeit im Laufe der OP weitere Vorz\u00fcge auf.
